Disney+ is the latest streaming platform to hit the scene and if you’re a current Verizon customer (or willing to be) then you just may have picked up a free 12-month Disney subscription!
On November 12th, Verizon announced that all of their new and existing 4G LTE and 5G unlimited wireless customers are eligible for a 12-month membership to the new Disney+ streaming service. If you’re a Verizon Fios Home Internet and 5G Home Internet customer, you’re also eligible for a free membership. To enroll, you just need to login into your Verizon account online or through the My Verizon app.
The offer begins on Tuesday, November 12th when Disney+ will debut with a huge inventory of brand-new content and nostalgic favorites. If you’re a fan of Star Wars, get excited for the new series, The Mandalorian, along with new content from the Marvel universe. If you’re more into childhood classics, you can expect to see their entire backlog of movies including favorites from the Pixar world. Most of the content is G-rated, but the expansive library will appeal to a family of all ages.
General subscribers on this new service will pay $6.99/mo. or $69.99/yr. for Disney+ access. When compared to other subscription services, Disney+ comes out cheaper. To find out more about Disney+, visit their website here.
Once your Disney+ subscription is activated, you’ll be able to watch all the content you want on your cell phone, and TV devices including streaming players and gaming consoles. Verizon is currently the only wireless carrier to be making such an offer to their customers.
Verizon CEO, Hans Vestberg, recently hinted that Verizon is working with Disney to integrate 5G technology into their amusement parks.
